When the world needed a
hero, they called a villain. Gru is recruited by
the Anti-Villain League to help deal with a powerful new super criminal.
This movie
needs no reviews for a couple of reasons.
First it’s an animated movie, which these days are always good. Second it’s Gru and the minions, who doesn’t
love the minions? Prepare for more
minions and more laughs that entertain kids and adults. I felt this movie was more for the adults
than the kids, because the jokes were great and really targeted at the adult
audience, along with a great story and fun action. I’m still amazed that the minions don’t have
their own movie. If all the people in
the world were as cool and fun loving as the minions it would be a much better
place. Maybe that’s why everyone likes
them so much, they are living the lives we all wish we could be, carefree,
laughing and joking all day. Steve
Carell plays Gru so well and brings a lot of his other characters he’s played
into this one. Gru has come along way
since the first movie and he starts to show us his heart in this one making us
cheer for him and hope he really does find true love and a mother for his
children.
I brought my
nephew to this movie and it was a sold out show with parents and children
everywhere and as I looked around I noticed the adults out numbered the
children, it helped that a lot of couples came sans children. Honestly I think the adults enjoyed the show
more than the kids, especially with the adult targeted jokes that were right on
target. This is a great way to keep your
kids entertained for 90 minutes over the holiday weekend.
Enjoy the
show.
5 out of 5
minions.
