A teenager finds
herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces
of good and the forces of evil is taking place. She bands together with a
rag-tag group characters in order to save their world -- and ours.
If you’re not heading out of town this weekend or even if
you are and the kids get bored, this movie is your answer. A fun story about good versus evil and an
interesting thought about how we see the world and the world views us. A young girl Mary Katherine (Amanda Seyfried)
arrives at her father’s house (Jason Sudeikis) only to find him and his three
legged one-eyed dog just as distracted and odd as the last time she saw
him. When Mary Katherine unexpectedly finds
herself in the world of the forest and has been given the task of keeping the
bud of life safe she finds herself surrounded by the tree men led by Ronin
(Colin Farrell) who must protect her and deliver the bud to safety before the
evil Mandrake (Christoph Waltz) steals it and destroys the forest. The kids will be entertained by some quirky
characters that will keep the kids laughing and hopefully in their seats for 90
minutes. Fun and touching story as all
animated movies are with enough content to keep the adults intrigued.
